Disciplinary Proceedings

Our firm also acts in disciplinary proceedings before regulatory authorities, such as the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF, the French Financial Markets Authority) and the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR, the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority).

We represent financial institutions, executives and financial service providers in disciplinary proceedings, administrative sanctions and investigations relating to regulatory breaches.

Our advisory experience and thorough knowledge of our clients' activities allow us to build a solid and coherent defence, grounded in a keen understanding of their business models and regulatory constraints.

This command of their environment, combined with recognised litigation expertise, enables us to act effectively in the most sensitive disciplinary proceedings, safeguarding their legal interests, their reputation and the continuity of their operations.

Our areas of practice include:

  • Proceedings before the AMF and the ACPR: assisting clients with regulatory investigations, managing supervisory inspections and appealing sanction decisions issued by these authorities;
  • Administrative sanctions: defending clients in disciplinary sanction proceedings relating to breaches of securities regulations, compliance failures or breaches of professional obligations.
