Sofia El Mrabet is Counsel at the firm.

She has over 10 years of experience in financial technologies, as well as in banking and financial regulation. She advises both innovative players (FinTechs, PSPs, EMIs, EPs, etc.) and established financial institutions on a wide range of topics, including digital assets, decentralized finance, and innovative financial services.

Specialized in financial technologies, artificial intelligence, and data protection, she advises her clients on regulatory and strategic issues related to these rapidly evolving areas.

Former legal director for the FinTechs at the Casino Group, she supported the legal and regulatory strategy of LUGH, the first French stablecoin issuer (EUR-L), and Bankin’, one of the first French applications for account aggregation and financial management.

She led the Regulatory department at Lemonway and held leadership positions in several FinTechs, both in France and internationally (Brazil, United Kingdom).

Sofia also worked as a lawyer at an Anglo-Saxon law firm specializing in new technologies. Furthermore, she has written numerous policy papers on these topics aimed at central banks and African authorities, highlighting the role of FinTechs in financial inclusion as well as the issues surrounding data protection.
